Free-living colony nest
Western honey bee (Apis mellifera) colony surviving in your region. By "surviving" we mean a colony of honey bees that has lived in the wild without the need of chemical treatments. Free-living surviving colonies are colonies that live in natural or human-made cavities in trees or logs, walls of buildings, caves, etc.
By "nests" we mean spaces, usually cavities, in which free-living honey bee colonies reside.
